La baleine à bosse est l’une des 20 Merveilles du monde, and it is also the emblem of St. Mary… his banner "Marine Ecotourism.

The great attraction from late June to mid-October is arriving in the Sainte-Marie. Each year, cetaceans, measuring up 15 meters 40 tons travel over 5000 km to calve. Observable from the beaches, are 2000 to 3000 about to put on a show for our biggest pleasure : singing males, jumps, clashes characterize courtship displays, and birth of calves.
For at least one season, female whale once made his choice, keep the same partner.
The female will leave thereafter icy waters to calve in warmer waters and especially in Sainte-Marie. When the calf arise, the mother bear to the surface for its first breath.
The CETAMADA combination ensures the preservation of these mammals, broadcasts a code of conduct and form guides to promote responsible and respectful observation.

Humpback whales are passing on Île Sainte-Marie mainly between July and September.
St. Mary Lodge is the ideal place to watch without any problems.
The hotel is located in the narrowest arm between the mainland and the island. Result : whales pass within 100 meters of private beach.
A l’œil nu, they observed and immediately took the boat for a closer look. Some of our customers have seen them miss their kayaks.

We offer better than conventional output Whales!

THE WHALE DAY

The boat is available all day, with output in the morning and the afternoon exit, but also the possibility to leave at any time to join a group of whales that we would go off.

Pour avoir le maximum de confort, nous n’embarquons jamais plus de 6 passengers, alors que le bateau est homologué pour 10 passengers. Nous avons choisi un bateau large, avec un coque “gull wings”, le rendant très stable sur l’eau. This allows to move easily in the boat to observe and photograph the whales from all sides. Cela permet également de prendre des photos dans les meilleures conditions, et de pouvoir tous se mettre à l’abri de la pluie sous le petit toit du bateau, et ainsi préserver le matériel de prise de vues.

Thrills guaranteed happiness !!!
